ONN has obtained an exclusive interview with WM hopeful Patec, just hours from the impending election.
1. What do you hope to achieve over the next 60 days if elected?
"I hope to re establish a working parliament to the region. We’ve operated without it for some time. Which to me shows not only the poor lasting support for previous models, but also that the parliament as we’ve seen it, is not useful, it doesn’t have clear roles. We are going to change that. We will give the orange parliament a clear laid out role and function as well as ensuring that it is not just a “body” taking up space. In previous proposals the parliament has gone unused. We must put more emphasis on the parliament."
2. How will your cabinet look and function?
In all honesty the cabinet will likely look very similar to the Brunhollian cabinet but shuffled around. As much as I would love to start the 4th election cycle with a fresh cabinet, active members of the region seem to already be involved in the cabinet. I would love to appoint another Arclantican but yk how the merge went:/. As opposed to my opponent I have not disappeared for weeks at a time, which could potentially harm the region if leadership is MIA without warning.
3. How will the Orange Parliament differ from the current parliament?
The biggest difference?….it has an actually useful meaningful and CONSTITUTIONAL role. MPs will be required to create or join REGIONAL parties as opposed to the many times tried national parties method which has proven a popular idea among votes but not so popular or useful implemented. It will also further tie our NS happening to the Snoop System as RP population will determine MP representation.
4. What makes you best suited for the role?
I don’t think I’ve got to give to many examples and can let this 3rd WM cycle speak for itself. I came in as a newcomer, losing his WM election and still have made large strides for the region. We brought quite possibly the biggest overhaul to the region other then the new constitution, AS A NEW FACE. Why am I fit for the job? Because the job is fit for me!
