TNO and PSD Merge

In a shock political announcement, leaders of TNO and the PSD Niater and Patec have merged their two parties into a new single party, 'the Coalition'

The PSD and TNO have now merged into a Coalition. The terms of this Coalition are not yet fully clear.

The PSD, now less than a week old, has decided to side with TNO on a variety of issues. Niater released a statement stating:

"I think it's an appropriate time to announce that the PSD has now formed a Coalition with Patec's TNO"

The ODU has entered what one member described as a 'meltdown' over the merger. Anna Rigby was keen to express her thoughts. In a series of Tweets she posted:

The ODU also expressed their concern about the coalition:

While some accused the ODU of playing politics, a later statement was released which said:

"The PSD and TNO have established a monopoly of power. With their overwhelming vote majority, we now face the government making decisions that cannot be challenged by anyone else. The PSD is directly responsible for handing TNO a super majority to follow its agenda. This has silence the voices of millions of Meercovians and citizens across the Orange Order. We are demanding that the Parliament becomes the fair, representative organisation it should be. FRS holds the WA Delegacy, and must be included into the regional parliament immediately, its citizens go unrepresented and this is not acceptable."

The ODU was criticised for failing to realise that TNO already held a majority. Some are arguing that the ODU is "throwing its toys out of the pram" in response to a perfectly legal decision by the other parties.

However, the ODU is adamant that it will not support any new legislation until the parliament includes FRS.

The ODU also announced today that it will be looking into the constitutionality of the parliament. This has been widely condemned, although the ODU stated that it was part of their 'duties'.
