Protests in Patec

ONN Patec reporter has given a statement regarding the sudden protests that have emerged at the front of the Patekku Palace.

Our ONN Patec reporter stated that:

"Patecians have started protesting in-front of Patekku Palace since RMP’s have not been awarded to Patec. The New Orangalists, the sole party in Patec was confirmed to be allowed as a TOO political party and thus was set to host Patecian representation to the Regional Parliament. "
"However, a restructuring of the Parliment has left Patecian in the dark. They have no representation and no sure time frame of receiving such. So far protests have been peaceful. Organisers are calling for the regional Government to work quicker to ensure all people are represented and to fulfill their promises of granting such to all citizens."

The small scale protest has emerged as a result of a combination of issues. With the regional parliament being amended, and the map being updated, Patec has been left with no representation in parliament.

The government of Patec has called upon the regional government, and the Speaker, to resolve the issue as quickly as possible so that Patec can finally be represented in the regional parliament.

It adds to the growing list of tasks for the government to fulfil, although the government is confidant that it can resolve these issues.
