A recent by-election in Meercovo has resulted in the surprise election of Liers Norgan, whom no one knew was running. Unfortunatly, Liers Norgan was elected, meaning she can now be in the running to become PM.
Liers Norgan today was elected as a local MP in Meercovo. Norgan, who is officially the most hated individual in the entire region, won a surprise victory. Many are calling for a re-run, with some saying that the election was "stolen."
However shocking the claims of a 'stolen' election are, in this case it is accurate. Liers herself just happened to be the returning officer for the count. A local ONN reporter was there when Liers won, and this is how the results were declared:
I, Liers Norgan, returning officer for the Meercovo Central constituency do formally declare that the results for the 2022 by election were as follows: Clermy Jarckson, Conservative party, 2 votes. Joris Bhonson, Communist Party, 1 vote. Liz Bus, Liberal Party, 1.5 votes. And Liers Norgan, Liers Independence and Anti-Woke Party, 24,549. Therefore I declare that Liers Norgan is duly elected.
This shock result has been labeled by politicians as "impossible" and even Oleg Edwards himself has called the result into question.
The result is even more peculiar when 14 million people recently signed a petition calling for the public exectution of Liers Norgan. The government dismissed the petition as it wasn't harsh enough, however a spokesman has said that "we are finding a solution to the problem that is Liers Norgan"
Meanwhile, Oleg Edwards has plummeted in the polls, with only 14% of voters saying they would vote for his party, the Conservatives, ever again. Meanwhile the Liberal Party has soared to 34%, as the LIAWP (LLiers Independence and Anti-Woke Party) is sitting on 0.001.
Also, Ms Norgan today announced that she had become a nun after much consideration, saying it was the best way to "defend free speech". Ms Norgan was later punched by Clermy Jarckson, a popular tv presenter who has on previous occasions been praised for dealing with Norgan.
