Conflict rages in Oranjehaven

The nation of Oranjehaven has been engulfed in an internal conflict as terrorists cause havoc in the nation.

Peace is not within living memory in most of Oranjehaven. For decades, a war has been raging between the government and a strong terrorist group.

The Lijrdoe Repatriation Army (LRA), which wants to see the entire Greek peninsular under Lijrdoe control, have been fighting a brutal conflict for decades. The ultra-conservative group, which is labeled as terrorist by most nations within The Orange Order, has been under increasing pressure to lay down their arms and agree to peace terms.

The Prime Minister, Charles J. Bauteim, who has been in power for over two decades, has been relatively successful in suppressing the LRA, allowing Oranjehaven citizens to return to a degree of normality. However, increasing ethnic tensions have called into question his administrations position on the matter.

The conflict has caused divides between the groups in Oranjehaven, and a resurgence of Lijrdoe nationalism means that the conflict is likely to esciate. Around 4 in every 5 Lijrdoe people want to see an LRA victory.

With millions of citizens in Oranjehaven threatened by an escalation in this conflict, and peace not an achievable option, the Government of Oranjehaven has turned to its allies to resolve the conflict.

According to a statement released by the Bauteim Administration, an agreement has been reached with the Government of Zanjact, in which the Zanjactian army will aid and support Oranjehaven in its struggle against internal terrorists.

Zanjactian forces have already begun building bases in the nation, according to an Oranjehaven official, as the deal is put into action.

However, amid calls for negotiation and peace, many in the LRA are concerned that this deal will in fact increase the conflict, and cause a lasting anger and resentment.

The LRA is a highly organised terrorist organisation, and will be difficult to defeat. Many in TOO have said that the priority of the Oranjehaven government should be to sit down at a table and make a deal with the LRA.

Only time will tell what happens next.
