With only a few matches until the winner of the Orangecup is decided, here are the results so far.
The Orangecup has got all citizens in the region excited. While disappointment has come to many, including Meercovo, who were knocked out by Zanjact, the lucky 4 remaining are all prepared to lift the trophy.
In round 1 of the knockout stage:
Oranjehaven beat Niater 3-2
Zanjact beat Meercovo 3-2
LVF beat The Orange Order 7-6
FRS beat Scottshrie 5-3
This means that while Niater, Meercovo, The Orange Order and Scottshire were eliminated, Oranjehaven, Zanjact, LVF and FRS have progressed to the final 4. Oranjehaven will face Zanjact, while LVF will face FRS.
The final race to the finish is expected to be a difficult one, with no clear favourite emerging. While LVF started off with some great victories early on, progress has stalled and pundits are predicting that FRS' consistent performance will lead to LVF's elimination.
Meanwhile, Zanjact is expected to knock Oranjehaven out of the competition, as Zanjact's aggressive play style is expected to prove too much for the Oranjehaven team. However, despite these predictions, no one at this point can comfortably say who will emerge victorious.
Meercovo was faced with disappointment at being knocked out, but the team blamed it on a lack of leadership due to the recent fight that occurred, hospitalising the team manager.
As 12 nations become 4, all eyes are on the final 3 matches, which will decide the fate of the remaining nations. There will also be a match for third place between the losers of the semi-finals.
