Leak: Patec plans big reforms

A new leak to ONN has shown that Patec plans some large scale constitutional reforms in the coming weeks.

ONN has obtained an exclusive insight into what Patec's premiership could look like. The leaked document, appearing as a piece of legislation, points to the fact that Patec is considering overhauling the Regional Parliament.

The leak comes just hours before the WA Delegate election, and a matter of days before Patec assumes office after Brunholl's sudden departure.

The document appears to show plans for an 'Orange Parliament' which would require a constitutional amendment. The law will reform the parliament's role, including powers such as:

  • Legeslative proposals

  • Legislatieve voting

  • WM Candidacy through political parties

The bill also ties in RP with the Parliament, as national RP populations relate to how many RMPs your nation will receive. Every 250 million citizens results in 1 RMP.

Furthermore, the act will further establish the powers of the speaker and the Opposition in scrutinising legislation and holding the government to account.

With Patec only expected to serve around 20-25 days in office before the next election, and all signs pointing to the fact that Patec would like to stand for re-election, it looks as if the incoming WM is keen to pass popular legislation to gather greater support.

A few days ago, TMH released an exclusive report on the RP reforms. All signs indicate that Patec is going for huge reforms socially and politically. However, these reforms come at a point of less activity in the region, and it will have to be seen as to what the extent of their impacts are.

With the new WA Delegate set to be elected in the next few days, TOO's political system has been pushed to virtually a breaking point with the WA Delegate and WM both changing in a matter of days.

However, this leaked bill points to the fact that Patec is keen to return to normality as soon as possible, and establish a good reputation as a leader and lawmaker.
