Revealed: Strongest armed forces in TOO

The most and least powerful nations in TOO have been revealed. Here are the stats.

A recent report has revealed the truth about the strength of nations in TOO. It has led to the discovery that despite appalling living standards, some nations are investing big money in defence.

Note: this data only shows nations by Defence Forces Rating and not by actual military size.

From this data we can determine that the top 5 nations in terms of defence forces are:

1.

Zanjact

2.

FRS

3.

New Japanese

4.

Meercovo

5.

Brunholl

This shows that the established regional powerhouse, Zanjact, has the strongest armed forces in the Orange Order. This is followed, at a distance, by FRS. It is noteworthy to see that two Sekpolis Pact members are in the top five.

Also noteworthy is that Meercovo and Zanjact have a military alliance meaning that their combined forces are virtually unmatchable.

However, it is very hard for ONN to determine the actual size of each military without the RP data. ONN has concluded (on the little evidence available) that the largest militaries by manpower are:

1.

Zanjact

2.

FRS

3.

Maricoen

4.

New Camelot of Avalonia

5.

Mardata

This is based on population, military size and other factors, although we cannot say for certain that this list is accurate.

This report comes as military spending in TOO has skyrocketed to trillions of Regional Marks, as nations are building up their militaries endlessly.

However, some are questioning if this is necessary. Recently, tensions in the region have cooled and war does not seem at all likely in the short run. Many people are arguing that nations such as LVF should cut military spending and instead invest in the economy.

Some have also called for the establishment of a central bank, and a tax rate on all nations to produce the banks source of income. Its supporters say that the tax received from all nations would be low, at no more than 8% of the nations government budget. Proponents also argue that the money received could be poured into projects in different nations to kickstart economic growth.

However, opponents say this restricts sovereignty, and that militaries are necessary to maintain the peace.
