Brunholl crowned Orange Cup Champions

After 56 games and 203 goals, only one nation could win. 20 became 16, 16 became 8, 8 became 4 and 4 became 2. But only one could win.

In a thrilling final match at the Patec National Stadium to decide the winner, Brunholl scored the winning goal in the 82nd minute of play, denying Niater the trophy. The result was 1-0.

Brunholl is now the champion, but how had things played out?

In the round of 16, Meercovo, who topped group A, failed to defeat TOO (n) on penalties, and dropped out early on. Meanwhile, hosts Patec were eliminated by Brunholl in a shock result.

Zanjact and Maricoen, both tipped as finalists and contenders for the cup, won their round of 16 matches with emphatic victories.

In the quarter finals, a tense match saw Brunholl progress on penalties, while Maricoen narrowly defeated Zanjact in what many described as "the game of the century"

FRS cruised past TOO while Niater just managed to defeat Zeililing.

Later, the Semi-finals was where the real shocks came: FRS, one of the top scoring nations, was defeated in a massive upset by Brunholl. Then, Niater defeated Maricoen in a penalty shoot out.

But today, Brunholl was crowned champion after defeating Niater. Brunholl was ranked 8th in the competition, but is now 1st.
